Jennae Jenson Founder of Psykhe Hair Extensions

Hi there!

Thank you for visiting my website!  My name is Jennae Jensen, and I suspect that if you’re here, it’s because you’re at your wit’s end. You might be experiencing hair loss (the official name is alopecia), and you’re depressed and embarrassed.

Or you have other things like fine or thinning hair. And it’s in the front of your head—like your forehead is suddenly a lot bigger! If you’re like me, you can’t stand looking in a mirror. Who invented those things anyway?

I have been there!

From the Inside Out

I have had thyroid issues all my life and had hair coming out in handfuls at one point. I was a mess. I didn’t have any good hair days to offset all the bad hair days. I was devastated. What’s causing yours? Pregnancy and chemotherapy and some medications, infections, and birth control pills can cause hair loss, and of course, thyroid issues, poor nutrition, and more. Oh. Don’t forget heredity. Hair loss is often inherited. It’s depressing.

As for me, I needed fullness around my face, and the only extensions I found were for the back of the head. No help there. I looked like a mullet. What’s worse is that the stress from having bad hair adds to more bad hair days.

Here’s what I want you to know. I’m a real everyday woman. I am a mom of four boys, a wife, a friend, a daughter, and I want to help everyday women—like you.

Why is my hair growing like a mullet

From the Outside In

I’ve been a hairstylist since 2004, and I have seen and heard how thinning hair affects our psyches. From my vantage point above your head, I see your part getting wider or your receding hairline from the top down. Maybe the back of your head wears less hair. But the front of your head wears a frown. Alas, the sides and front of your head are what you see every time you face your face in the mirror!

That face view was what I saw in that reflection, and I couldn’t stand it. I had to find a solution for myself. But I really wanted to help my clients, who are my family and friends.

As a hairdresser, I’ve seen and heard many women’s troubles, joys, ups, and downs over the years. And I have seen how difficult it is to deal with hair loss. We all feel great when our hair looks good. The opposite, bad hair, seeps into our psyches, and even though we are no different on the inside, bad hair days make us feel awful! They shouldn’t, but they do. They just do.

My Life and My Business

I grew up in Utah, and my grandpa was and is my mentor. I want to be like him when I grow up. He works hard and loves to serve others. He helped me when my mom and dad got divorced when I was nine. It happens to a lot of kids, but even so, it wasn’t easy. I had terrible self-esteem issues.

My feeling is that all of us carry our scars inside ourselves. I want to help women understand that they are beautiful even if they have less than wonderful feelings about themselves. And especially if their hair looks terrible. I started my company, Psykhe Hair Extensions because I know how awful I felt inside and out because of how terrible my hair looked. I was desperate for a solution, and I was determined to help everyday women just like myself.

Every woman, every person, deserves to feel good about themselves, even if it’s just for a moment. Fortunately, hair extensions last a long time.

With our human hair extensions, you get to see how good they look on you near the front of your face in the mirror, not from behind. That makes me happy.
